To begin setting up your storefront in Miva Merchant, enter the following URL into your Web browser, where yourdomain.ext is the actual domain name of your server:
http://yourdomain.ext/Merchant2/setup.mv
You will page through several screens during the setup process. After you have entered or verified the information on a particular screen, click Next to continue to the next screen.
The following is a summary of the screens that are presented during the setup process:
Page 1: Miva Merchant Setup – Enter your licensing information.
Page 2: License Agreement – Read the agreement. If you agree, check the Accept box.
Page 3: Customer Information – Fill out the information.
Page 4: URL Setup – You can go through each URL line-by-line and accept the default location, or enter a different URL.
Page 5: Create Administration User – Enter a user name and password. You must enter the same password twice, in the Password and Verify Password boxes, for verification.
Page 6: Setup Progress – If all goes well, the following message appears:
Miva Merchant Setup Complete.
If you get an error message, you will need to go back and check the information you entered.
At the end of the installation process, you are given the URLs to the administration interface and the shopping (merchant) interface. Go to the administration interface to add products to your store(s). The shopping interface is what the customer sees when visiting your online catalog.
