Domain Registrations, Transfers, and Renewals

You can register, transfer, or renew U.S. domain names ending in .com, .net, .biz, .info, or .org through Web.com. If you need to register your domain through a registrar without using Web.com, contact that registrar for details.

When you order a shared hosting account through Web.com, you are given the opportunity to have us register a domain for you. If you would like to register additional domain names for use on your virtual server, you can use our DNS Tools at the following URLs.

To register domain names through Web.com, use the domain registration tool on the Web.com site, in the upper left corner.

To transfer a domain from your old hosting provider for use on your virtual server, you will need to contact your domain registrar and have the domains pointed to the Freedom name servers:

ns1.nameserve.net

ns2.nameserve.net

Many registrars have an online interface you can use to transfer your domain without having to call anyone. However, especially in the case when you did not originally purchase the domain or the contact information has changed, the registrar may require that you fax or mail in a form with your signature.

To renew your existing domain name (up to 9 years), contact an Web.com Sales representative at 1-800-214-1460.
